Jippo was the adopted son and pupil of the painter Kanpo Araki. Jippo was one of the founders of the Nihon Gakai (i.e., Japanese Painting Association) which championed the then new nihonga style of Japanese painting. This gallery includes thirty-six of Jippo’s paintings of flowers and (or) birds. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
